How to search our library as a Te Rito Maioha learner

Your Te Rito Maioha course provides a link to all your course readings within our Library Catalogue.

However, you can also run your own searches for further resources using these options:

Search across all resources
Search for books/ebooks
Advanced searching

Search across all resources

  • Using the search box above, click on the Te Rito Maioha Search option
  • Enter your key terms
  • This will run a search across all sources - the research databases we subscribe (giving access to thousands of articles) and the library collection (for books/ebooks).
After running an initial search, you will have options to refine your results, including an Advanced Search option (see below).

Search for books/ebooks

  • Using the search box above, click on the Catalogue option
  • Enter your key terms
  • This will run a search across the library's own collection (primarily books/ebooks).

Advanced Searching

  • Advanced searching is useful when you are looking for a range of research articles, literature reviews etc.
  • Follow the steps under Search across all resources above.
  • After your initial search, click on Advanced Search from the results screen:

Te Rito Maioha advanced search option
  • This gives you further ways to refine your search. We recommend you watch the Advanced Searching video below to learn how to make the most of this search.
