This guide gives you tips and information for finding resources for your Environment, Floristry or Horticulture studies, in addition to those supplied in your course.
See below for how to find: course readings, books/ebooks, articles and to view a range of websites.
Course readings
Use the library search box above. Click on Course Readings, and enter your course code, e.g. 72191, FLO201, HOR300. These will include a range of results that have been identified as relevant additional reading for your course.
Books/ebooks
Click on Catalogue, and enter keywords, e.g.
- environment, ecology, sustainability, conservation, marine management ...
- flowers, floristry, flower arrangement...
- New Zealand horticulture, plant physiology, flora, organic horticulture, sustainable agriculture...
These will include both:
- print books - supplied by free return courier. Just hit "Request" and follow the steps
- ebooks - easy to access online. Click here for more information on how to access ebooks.
Articles (these are sometimes needed for Environment courses. Less likely for Floristry or Horticulture)
Use the library search box above. Click on Search Everything, or the Advanced search option for access to thousands of articles including scholarly journals, magazines, newspapers, reports and more.
