Assessment support

Assessment support service

Did you know you can get feedback on your assessment before you get it marked?

This is what we do

Once you send us a draft of your assessment we will:

  • Give you advice on how to write academically including sentence structure, grammar and formatting
  • Advise on how to cite and reference your sources
  • Provide feedback on some of your references
  • Teach you how to find reliable, relevant information on the subject you are studying
  • Help you unpack assessment task words and provide general academic guidance. Subject‑specific questions should be directed to your course leader
This is what we can't do

We can't:

  • Fully proofread your assessment
  • Check if the sources you have used are real
  • Answer your assessment question for you
  • Check for plagiarism
  • Check your assessment using plagiarism software
How to get assessment support

Send an email to library@openpolytechnic.ac.nz and attach a copy of your assessment as a Word document or contact us for more information about this service.

How you'll get feedback on your assessment

One of the Library & Learning Centre team will send you back a copy of your assessment with suggestions on how you can improve it. We will also send you links to helpful resources.
