What is Global Accessibility Awareness Day?

Launched in 2021, the Global Accessibility Awareness Day Foundation promotes digital access and inclusion to those with disabilities.

Here in the Library & Learning Centre, many of our ebooks have accessible features such as tools that work with screen readers, speech recognition software and image description .  To find out more about how learners with disabilities are able to be supported at Open Polytechnic visit the Support for disabled learners on the Open Polytechnic webpage.

For more information on Global Accessibility Awareness Day visit the GAAD website and read Designing accessible learning content : A practical guide to applying best-practice accessibility standards to L&D resources by Susi Miller.
