Wikin te Taetae ni Kiribati – Kiribati Language Week 2025 will be celebrated from 6–12 July 2025.

This year’s theme is ‘Maiuakinan te katei ri nanon te tangira ma te ikarinerine bon wantongan te mwenga ibukin te rikirake’ – Living our valued cultural practices through love and respect upholds our dignity and growth for a successful future.

The week is a vibrant opportunity to celebrate te taetae ni Kiribati (the Kiribati language), strengthen cultural identity, and share traditions through storytelling, music, and community connection. Learn more about this amazing language and culture via the Ministry for Pacific Peoples.

And see what we hold in our Library collection related to Kiribati.
