If you download ebooks from ProQuest Ebook Central, you'll now use the new Ebook Central Reader app instead of Adobe Digital Editions.
While the online reading experience hasn't changed, the new app provides a simpler way to read books you wish to download and read offline. It features improved navigation, highlighting, note-taking and enhanced accessibility features.
Getting started is easy:
- Install the app: When you are in the ProQuest central platform and find a book you wish to download follow the prompts to download the Ebook Central Reader App to your device, which is compatible with Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android.
- Register your device: Once you have downloaded the app to your device access your Ebook Central profile to generate your unique 7-digit code. Enter this code in the Ebook central app to register your device and sync your ebooks. You only need to do this once per device. The ebook will open and you can begin reading!
If you already have ebooks downloaded through Adobe Digital Editions, they should transfer automatically to the new app without needing to be downloaded again.
